touch screen technology
Can someone refer me to a source of info on how touch screen computers operate? thanks Paul
Re: touch screen technology
Hi Paul.
Touchscreen computers is not a proper term, as touchscreens are only an input device, just as a mouse.
The signal from the touchscreen is processed and handled by the processor. It has no dependence with the display behind it, being that an output peripherial. The superinposement of them is what yields good and convenient commanding features.
The most used type is 4-wire resistive, here is some basics:

Re: touch screen technology
most touch screens i worked on were capicitance
not resistive... the screen connected to a small
modual that processed the screen input to a output to the computer..via serial or mouse port.
