i was thinking of building a project like this <p>http://www.designnotes.com/CIRCUITS/FMintercom.htm<p>however the lm566 and lm565 are not available locally can anyone suggest an alternative part.
any suggestions on wheteher this circuit will work or not would be great also

www.digikey.com lists LM566 as obsolete.
www.digikey.com and www.mouser.com have LM565.<p>I should be possible to use an LM565 in place of the LM566 which is a Voltage Controlled Oscillator (VCO) only. The LM565 is a Phase Locked Loop (PLL) which contains a VCO and phase comparator.
