how to amplify tv sound

Post by spindown »

How can I amplify the sound from our tv set(does not have audio in or out jacks)without making internal connections and drive a speaker at a remote location?

A microphone and FM transmitter at the TV and an FM receiver at the remote location. Radio Shack has kits.

You might try the same thing, only use an inductive pickup (the little suction cup gizmo for phones) so you dont get room noise.
good luck!

Russ and usteservice thanks for your help. I was wondering if the inductive pickup could be used with a wireless speaker system? Thanks Paul

The short answer is "maybe". The wireless speaker system must be capapble of accepting a Low impedance input Mic level input. Many only accept line level. Of course, the same the rule applies to a mic, the xmtr has to be able to accept mic level input, or you will need a pre-amp to bring it up to line level.
have fun
