AC/DC conversion to simulate car voltage

Post by sympletric » Tue Jul 15, 2003 11:41 am

Would someone please send me a circuit schematic that will convert 120VAC to 12VDC. I would like the 12VDC to simulate the same 12VDC we get from car cigarette lighters. (It can be that crude). I'll be using the circuit to power the same type of adapters such as cell phones and cd players that we plug into our car cigarette lighters.
Much appreciated.
tony

Since you didn't specify any requirements on the 12VDC power supply, I'll just say go buy one.
Edit: Nevermind, I didn't read your quote carefully... anyhow, take a look at linkswitch IC's, LNK501 and LNK500.
[ July 15, 2003: Message edited by: Lien ]
