I have a Sony VAIO laptop and have lost the ethernet connector. I have tried to get one from
Sony, but they don't appear to sell the item.
The item number is:
PCGZ505S
Anyone have any idea where I might be able to get
something like this? Thanks so much for your help.

Is it the little wire connector with the rj45 on one side and a little flat pcmcia connector on the other?
I ended up finding it in the accesory section of my local Fry's electronics. http://www.outpost.com I don't know it they will list it on the website, but might check it out.

If you have a USB connector, they make USB to Ethernet connectors.

If you lost the whole PCMCIA card then you can probably buy just about any brand to replace it. If you lost the cable or broke off the connector that goes with a card then you may have to replace the card. anyway. There not too much if you don't buy a sony exact replacement.

Unfortunately it is a custom job, built into the
laptop. Not a PCMCIA. I wish it was, much easier
to get parts for. Just wondering if anyone had
an extra lying around? Thanks for your advice.
