Volume Control

Post by Mike »

I need to control the volume of a stereo audio input with only 1 pot. Is it possible, and how? I have 2 rca plugs for in and out (4 total) and am using a standard 3-prong pot, 25Kohm.

You can check at your local radioshack for some pots that have two setts of these three prongs, audio pots. you can also get some much better and nicer panasonic caps, these are quite good for amps and such.here
this one too

I remembered seeing such a circut when I first read your request, I've just dug it out from my paperwork.
It was published in "Electronics World" February 2002. It uses just one pot for volume, and three op-amps.
If you can't locate the magazine anywhere let me know and I can email it to you.
Regards,
David
