I am trying to Use a Rotary Incremental Encoder switch with my Flight simulator Cockpit I am beginning to build. I use the switch now for changing the frequency on the flight radio...VIA a USB keyboard interface( Stripped and using the PCB ) to Flightsim 2002 , problem is that using the USB keyboard interface it has keypress repeats built in and I need only momentary switching and the encoder clicks are to a Active state "Normally closed" I need to convert this to an open state so that I can overide the keyboard repeat function when switching.<p>I want a rotary switch that activates momentarily then returns to an open state.<p>Encoder switch details :
-------------------------------------------
2 bit counting code
Contact switching
Push-on (momentary) switching in handle
Diameter of shaft/handle: 6mm
30 mechanical detents
High reliability
High precision
Snap-in Vertical PCB Mount with threaded bushing for panel mounting option
Operating temperature: -40ºC to +85ºC
Maximum DC Current per contact: 5mA
Long life: 25,000 continuous rotational cycles
Operating torque: 2nm
Push-on switch travel: 0.5mm
Contact switch resistance: 0.5 ohms
No of Pulses/Detents: 30
---------------------------------------------<p>Can anyone help me with a circuit to reverse the output from the encoder rotary switch ?<p>Regards
