music box

Post by david753 »

Recently, I disassembled a music box.
I found there are a slice that looks like a comb, a rolling column, and spring generator.
I am quite interested to implement by myself.
I'd like to replace the original column, implementing my favorite music on it.
But, I don't know how to make a column by myself.
Which mechanizing process is need?
How can I make tips of the column?

If i put this message on wrong place, please forgive me and tell me where I can put it?

This will be a heck of a project. If it was me, I would remove the pegs from the roller that makes the tune. Now the hard part, replacing the pegs at a diffrent location. If you have a musical ear, you should be able to change the tune to what you want. If you are like me, it will just make noise. Good luck
