Chris's posts bring the name Joeseph Goebbels to mind. Except that Goebbels was more highly educated, more industrious, and probably more intelligent.

Goebbels also was able to practice self-restraint within the bounds of his society. However, I see the parallel. Repetition as the path to truth is a key element of any propaganda campaign.

I believe he said "a big lie, repeated often enough, becomes the truth." (or something like that.) I am afraid he taught many modern politicians what lying can do! (notice- parties and nationalities are not specified.)

thanks, it wasn't a quote and I didn't look it up. It's good to see that I, at least, had the gist of it correct.

I would say more than just politicians picked up on this. and yes, I agree with the implication that all politicians lie.
