I’m More familiar with the Rotomolas, but isn’t that Maxon an older vintage, UHF spectrum Talkie Walkie of about 4 watts with 4 xtals for your freqs ?. Also possibly rigged with selective sub audible squelch action. You potentially might have acquired it from commercial use as a freebie ? ,but I see that W7FG has it listed as one of his service manuals being available for it:
