solder past dispensers

Post by LucidGuppy »

Does anyone have a solder paste dispensor setup in their lab? I just wanted to see what other people were working with - especially their source for compressed air for the dispenser.
Why don't you give yourself a nice big round of applause!

One good tool is the hypos that are used with ink refill kits. Other than that a acid brush and tin can that can be rewarmed and melted back into a clean paste when the debris floats to the top for scraping off to keep it clean.

I originally had a commercial dispenser system but went to the prefilled paste syringes with a plunger and plastic tip. I found the hand method easier to control than the pressurized system. The auto dispenser systems can make quite a mess if you are not very careful( the manual ones can too for that matter :) ) Contact-East has 35 gm syringe bodies of Kester paste for about $10.00. The plunger and tip are each 1.00.
