The datasheets for several n-channel mosfets don't show the pinout (for TO-229 cases). In particular I am looking for the ITLZ14 and IRFZ44. ALso the p-chanel MTP2955 TO=220.
Grant

If you just need a summary data sheet with pinout, try the NTE Semiconductors Cross Reference page
NTE Semiconductor Cross Reference Search Page
they have data sheets on the IRFZ44
NTE2395 -- Equivalent to IRFZ44
and the MTP2955 in the TO-220 case
NTE2371 -- Equivalent to MTP2955
Your third part draws a blank on a Google check -- maybe it's a house number, or possibly one of the identifier characters is different.
[ June 19, 2003: Message edited by: Chris Foley ]

Here’s your actual manufactor “dirty” sheets on the two power units U were stymied on. I probably have a few of the old ‘44’s in a back drawer, as they are sort of in the obsolete category nowadays. The ‘2955 ‘s still a mover though. . On the last item , the ITLZ 14 , any chance that manufacturer modified its alpha predecessor to mate up with his brand ??? If it’s the IRFZ14 equivalent it will be in a small plastic housing with a very short heat sink Cu tab sticking from the top. Its basing is gate-drain-source at bottom front perspective. The tab is also common to the drain. . Your URL’s are:
http://butler.cc.tut.fi/~mlammila/elekt ... IRFZ44.pdf …..for the ……IRFZ44
http://www.physics.ubc.ca/~andre/ph253/ ... P2955V.pdf ……for the…. MTP2955
http://www.irf.com/technical-info/appnotes/an-937.pdf …….to “eddie”cate you …..if required.
73's de Edd

Thanks very much, Ed and Chris. In spite of the fact that I called a TO-220 case a TO-229, and the IRLZ14 a IRTZ14, you got 2 out of 3! These were mistakes, though, not a test.
I apologize for my haste and careless, I'll try to do better next time.
I assume the pinout for the IRLZ14 is the same as the other two.
Grant

Ooops! Last post should have said "carelessness". Not too impressive given the context!
The NTE cross reference confirmed that the pinout is the same for all three. That's a handy reference and one I did not know. Thanks!
Thanks for the "eddie"-cation link, it looks about the right speed for my old brain.
Grant
