I would love to tell you I have the ability to do something, but this is 3rd party and out of my reach. I have asked about it and have been assured they are not using it, so it must be something the host or the IP provider for the site are using.

For me, when SH strikes, I copy my post, hit the SH link, then hit the back button (should be the posting page), make sure my comments are there and re-paste them if necessary, and hit submit again. usually goes through.

Let's see if it happens this time...

Yep, and the above worked fine.

Testing.......

I can post again, I think.

Edit:

This is weird, I tried editing the post, and then tried to submit it.
I was blocked.

I did a "Preview", then "Submit", and it took it. :???:

This is an observational conclusion, but not verified.

From the past, if you look at when Michael Kaudze was the active Site Admin, it seems as if every post got sent to him along with being posted to the forum. I do not know if the service that does this for the forum uses email capabilities to do so, but that would explain the outside use of Spamhaus, - which we do not have any say in as it's on the IP side of the equation. I will attempt to contact the Lemieux family to ask about this again, and delve into PHPBB to see if that's even a thing. Having a full time job AND a part time job, it may take a bit of time before I can answer one way or another. But rest assured, I'll keep after the insidious creep into the forum.

Okay, now for a rousing chorus of Monty Python -
Spam spam spam spam
spam spam spam spam
SPAM SPAM
spam spam

No?
Okay.

I just got another message from SH.

Thank you for contacting Spamhaus,

People use our data in many unexpected ways. That is why I asked you to talk to the forum admins. That IP is not blocked, and never has been.

Regards,

That's interesting (the whole reply). I don't use any email programs on my home machine, it's all web based. I do use the big red Checkmark, and work is the big red C, and both have been tapped by SH, as well as my cell's very pale red carrier. Heck, my reply earlier got hit and it said No issues. I personally think SH is broken, but they'll never tell.

I guess I'll look into getting the mentioned cert for my machines.

Well. SH just claims that it's something with the site here...they said they have nothing to do with this site or ever have...

Hi Guys,

Were working with a PHPBB professional to get all these problems resolved. Updates will be applied to the board and spam programs and whatever else needs to be done to get this resolved. Sorry for the frustrations, our new guy seems to have a pretty good understanding of the problems and is very responsive, so I'm hopeful this is almost over.

Ok. The updates have been completed with a few changes to settings and such. Let me know if problems are solved or we need to dig further. Again, sorry for the frustrations.
