I have an older knob style Pioneer car radio, Model KRC-1003
Earlier the tuner went out on the unit, I got lucky and found another similar radio with the same tuner module.
It works again....BUT, if you press the scan/seek button, the radio does not lock onto any stations, but if i manually tune, it picks up most any station just fine.. So i know something needs to be adjusted, but i don't know what...
Is there anyone that might have any info on this ? I'm sure it's something with maybe the PLL ? Just guessing.
Or does anyone know of a shop that would work on this ?
I'd like to put this radio in my 81 Ford.. ( formerly was in my 77 Plymouth fury wagon )
The newer car radios, I just don't like how they are.. tiny buttons and menus etc.. I can't read that stuff any more..
I love my simple radio..even if the cassette doesn't work...lol
( plus it was the 1st radio i bought on credit as a teen , The place gave me my 1st line of credit $100.00 )

Your going to need the service manual.
This place has it: https://www.stereomanuals.com/man/rep/k ... 003_xx.htm
It is a paper manual of 65 or so pages.
I'd contact them first, because the price can range from $10 to $23 dollars, plus shipping & handling.
