Which chemistry? (LION, NiCd, etc)
What nominal voltage per cell? (that will indicate chemistry)
What device needs them?

Can you measure the cell in millimetres, to check if matches something in the market with the dimensional nomenclature ?
(18650 are 18mm diametre, 65.0mm length, red one) Greens are 'AA' and double lenght 'AA'

Janitor Tzap >> I need longer... I think what i need are 5/7 size AAA Ther are about 1.5x longer than standard cells bout 3" long same diameter as AAA

Externet >> 1.2v NiCd AAA But much longer..
I did find this link https://power.tenergy.com/battery-size-chart/

sell size....dia.......length
4/3 AAA 10.5 67
5/3 AAA 10.5 67
LL-AAA 10.5 67
3/2 AAA 10.5 67
6/4 AAA 10.5 67
I can't make heads or tails of the cell size ..improper fractions..lol
I can't find a source for these cells...

Quote Johnny Five: "More Input!"

What is the device that this battery pack is in?

Are there numbers on the battery pack?

What is the physical size of the pack?

Is it NICAD, NIMH, LION?

What are the cells rated at?
{A picture of it would be nice.}

Could you use some higher capacity, but physically smaller N-Type Cells as replacements?
Or just normal size AAA cells?

I'm rebuilding a battery pack for a friends radio transmitter.. there is only room for the 3 AAA cells.
I'm bout to give up and just put regular NiMh cells in it and call it a day.. he'll just have slightly less run time.
GCH is all that is printed on the cells.
If i haven't found a easy source yet, it most likely is NLM..
So NiMh it is.....
thanks anyway guys

I've looked at the GCH, and after doing some web digging around.
I came across something about Medical grade Battery Packs.
But nothing that would tell me about the Size, Voltages, and Amps, of the Battery Packs.

If it's old enough, it maybe is a NICAD Pack.
I had an RC Transmitter that used a rechargeable 12V 500ma AAA Cells NICAD Pack.
Worked good for about 2 - 3 hours, before I had to recharge it.

Hmmm.........

I've been finding 1.2V 1/3 AAA 140ma Cells.

Could you stack these into stacks of 3 = 3.6V, and then parallel 3 stacks together to up the amperes?

Thanks anyway guys,, I done replaced it with regular sized AAA's..and gave the radio back to the guy..
I told him that it was too difficult to find the originals. He was happy either way, just so that it worked.

If he was insisting it all had to fit in the same battery pack, then you probably did the only reasonable thing. If you had more space, 2 Li-Ion with a buck boost regulator stuffed in the third slot might have worked but those cells are too large to fit. Did you weld on the tabs or just drop in?

The battery has a letter near the positive pole to indicate the battery size. The comparison is as follows: No. 1 battery is D, No. 2 battery is C, No. 3 battery is A, No. 5 battery is AA, and No. 7 battery is AAA.

Deion Adel >>>
The batteries had no such indicators..

haklesup >> i just scuffed them and soldiered em..used Weller for fast heat and least time contact.
