I been using these neat little displays for my GPS clocks.
Well, the green displays have been discontinued. Only red is available.
The driver boards can be bought alone as well.
Does anyone know where i might find some led displays that would be compatible with the boards ?
I can't seem to find anything with the numbers on the display itself.
The displays run off of 5v.
The displays are 1.2" and the pins are on either end of the display.
This is the board. >------>> https://www.adafruit.com/product/1271?g ... gKiMvD_BwE
this is the info i got for the displays, but this place has a min order..

is there any other display that could work with the I2c board above ?

Hmmm.......
Still looking for a replacement for that adafruit board huh?
Does it have to be 1.2" tall?
I'm finding larger digits, and smaller ones.
But, if you have the time......
How about using green rectangle shape LEDs?
You do have the data sheet with the wiring schematic diagram don't you?
You could use the green rectangle shape LEDs to make up the individual digits.

Dacflyer,
I did more web mining, and I found this place: https://www.arrow.com/en/products/1266/ ... gLrIvD_BwE
They still have seven of these displays left.

Heyyy Janitor >>> That Arrow.com has what i need.. Thanks.
Wish i could find some white or blue ones..but i don't think they would operate from 5v.
I've seen the smaller ones that did operate on 5v.

Hmmm.........
I'm finding white LED displays, but you have to buy them in bulk.
{500 pieces at a time.}
{I'll do some more web mining, and see what I can find.}
The blue digital displays are almost impossible to find now.
Since blue is the "Bad for your eyes." color.
You can still find blue rectangle shape LEDs.
So, if you really wanting too have a blue display.
You could use that data sheet with the wiring schematic diagram for the adafruit displays, and make one up.

Re: Adafruit 1.2" led display
ok,, I'm mainly looking for displays that'll mount directly to the adafruit backpack boards..
I contacted that Arrow company you mentioned, and i'd have to set up an account.. i'll do that as a last resort,, waiting to see what else pops up..
Thanks for your time...

I went back out to that link I posted.
Clicked on number of units; (1)
Then the "Buy" Button.
It automatically added it to the "CART" waiting for me to check out and pay.
I then went and opened the CART to see if it was there.{Yup.}
{I then emptied out my CART, since I was only checking if there was something weird about the site.}
Meanwhile........
I checked on the White & Blue LED Displays.
I'm only coming up with Bulk suppliers, 100 to 500 pieces per order.

Re: Adafruit 1.2" led display
when i was trying to check out they wanted me to create an account before i could pay...
and they don't do PP either..
I'd like it if i didn't have to create an account ( more password crap to remember ) to pay for things..

{Shakes head.}
It's one thing too give your e-mail address to a company.
So they can send you electronic flyers of products they think you might be interested in.
But now to have you sign up with them.
So they can give give info about you to other businesses, that also give it to others, and so on, and so on.
I've got registrations with so many different places now that I have to keep them in a little black book.
Thing is......
Since I only needed to get one, or maybe two items from one place.
I either won't use them ever again, or if I do.
I find out that they have wiped my ID, and password.
Thus, I have to setup an account all over again.
Still having no luck at finding individual pieces of the Adafruit 1.2" led display in the other colors.
