Swinging Sticks

Post by jwax » Mon Jan 21, 2019 6:30 pm

Would like to build one of these, but don't know where to start designing the circuitry as described in this video:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PWg6TG2bkFU

The circuit fires a coil depending on the presence of a Neo magnet in one of the sticks. Hall effect sensor, I presume. But, not every time. Only when the stick is slowing down.

Any ideas on where to begin this design?

Thanks! Good info there, but nothing about the electronics.

If you scroll down the page to the Discussion area.
A person posted a circuit that he used.

Oops! Missed that! That 3 volt circuit looks like a starting point. Thanks!
