Okay, this must be a scam.

How do you rewind a DVD!? :P

Or how about.....
Gas Powered Flashlight
Image
[Sarcasm]Why bother with a hand crank generator Flashlight, your solar rechargeable Flashlight,
or any battery operated Flashlight for that matter.
When all you need is about a pint of gasoline to get about 2 to 3 hours of light.
Ringing in your ears from the noise, and asphyxiated by breathing in all the toxic chemicals it is spewing forth.[/Sarcasm]

Edit: Oops, forgot the [Sarcasm] quotes.

Carbide lamps.. The carbide when mixed with water produced acetylene gas they worked but really didn't give off very good light..and if not careful, made a big boom,,

you're a day late for an April fools joke on the DVD rewinder :)

The gas flashlight might be a thing for the super bright flashlight hacking crowd, looks like it has a fair share of yellow electrical tape on it. Just need some water cooling for the LEDs and you're are on the way to hella lumens

Hmmm............

I wonder if you could substitute peltier junctions for the cooling instead of the water cooling system?

I think you've finally hit upon perpetual energy. Just keep stacking peltier junctions on the back of the LEDs, feeding the resultant energy back into the system. Eventually there will be over-unity and the excess can be harvested. FREEDOM FROM "THE MAN"!

Or it'll just be money wasted on exponentially diminishing returns.
:D

Peltier would only cause you to need to remove more heat and need to generate more power. They are horribly inefficient generating ~ 4x to 6x more heat on the hot side than they remove on the cool side due to the high current they require to operate. If you really need to get something below ambient temp and have an abundance of power, they are the solution but they are not a heat sink, they are more like an inefficient heat pump but the heat still needs to be disposed of somewhere.

Hmmm....

Yeah, a peltier junction or TEC has a high current draw, plus the cooling side can cause condensation around it.
Thus, the water from the condensation, could short out the LED's.

No, I was just thinking that the water cooling system could be replaced with something more simple.
Perhaps just mounting the LED's on to a Aluminum Heat Sink.

Back to another stupid and weird device......
BRIGHT FEET LIGHTED SLIPPERS
Image
(THE SLIPPERS THAT LET YOU SEE IN THE DARK!)
Here's the AD: https://youtu.be/-JLZxjkI5x0
You can buy them at: https://www.amazon.com/BRIGHT-LIGHTED-S ... B004T3IPPG

What's wrong with just having a flashlight next too your bed?

Here's one I wish I found a few years earlier, and got it too cheapNdisgusting.

Talking TP
Image
Product description

Surprise your family and friends with an unexpected bathroom message - turns an ordinary trip to the bathroom into a laugh filled surprise they'll never forget. Talking Toilet Paper allows you to record (and re-record) a message, music or sound and then have it automatically play back. The recording device is built into a spindle that fits inside a roll of toilet paper (and fits all holders and toilet paper rolls) so that every time the toilet paper "rolls," the recording is played. Simply turn on the unit and press the record button and record up to 6 seconds of sound. The device uses special technology to sense movement of the spindle, which automatically plays back the recording every time the unit moves. Uses (2) AAA Batteries (not included)
To be fair, when a booming voice comes out of the toilet paper roll and scares the crap out of you, at least you’ll be in the right place.
You can get it through amazon: https://www.amazon.com/Talking-TP-TALKI ... B000G82KI6
