I've got a few LCD panels to spare

Post by L. Daniel Rosa »

Ya gotta love industrial waste! These are 2 line by 20 character, 14 pin (2*7) header, with backlight. I have more than I'll be able to use, so I'll share. They came from some equipment that was being upgraded, and were pitched because they didn't have the nylon spacer hardware attached. All are tested and appear functional.

I think you can get some money for them! Put an ad in N&V if you have alot of them... N&V classifieds are great, I recommend them to anyone and I remember it was only 80 cents or was it 60 per word with paid subscription!!!

Charge for them? That would defeat the purpose.

Not for sale, maybe some trade would be nice. You can reimburse the postage if you feel like it. I need addresses to ship to.

Well I've been led to believe that LCD modules have an industry standard pin assignment. While some have 1*14 or 1*16 headers and others are 2*7 or 2*8, enough of the pins are labeled that the rest can be determined. I've found something here http://www.jkmicro.com/newsite/document ... cklite.pdf . I hope this gets there.
