looking at light dimmers for the home some say for LED use.What is the difference internally with the dimmers between LED and incandescent?

I'm familiar with Dimmable and non Dimmable LED bulbs but these work with conventional lamp dimmers. As far as I know there are only lamp dimmers and motor controllers (fan speed controllers) that can't be interchanged. I suspect the LED compatibility marking on the dimmer package is just marketing and new labeling and you still need a dimmable LED bulb

nothing different, just saying they are compatible with leds also..
