need help to find a led display..

i am looking for something like this , but in 1.8" size

i have searched around but i mostly find individual single digits.
looking to use it as a clock display..

looks like i may have to brew my own display..
what is driving the smaller ones ( circuitry that allows only 4 wires, some only 3 ) ?

Yes, for 1.8" I am only seeing single digits. I did find one on Alibaba but you would have to buy 100 minimum

i looked at them filaments, they will not do for my needs..
i got me some leds, i am just waiting to get in some driver boards..
