Downloading back issues

I've bought Nuts & Volts from various bookstores for years, but availability was spotty. Now that I'm a subscriber, I am allowed to download each new issue. Great!

Now to my question: I see back issues are also available from the download page. Am I allowed to download back issues which I paid for (in fact, I paid a lot more for at cover price!), or is that now allowed. I tried to ask this issue to the subscriptions help email contact, but it was ignored.

Thanks

Hi!

Sorry to hear your question was ignored.. and sorry it took me a while to notice it here! As for downloading back issues, if you are part of the Preferred Subscriber Network then you have the option of downloading back issues. In fact, I like the way I can jump around in the archives simply by modifying the URL in Texterity. For example, to see the January 2016 issue of Nuts and Volts you would use this url:

http://nutsvolts.texterity.com/nutsvolts/201601

But if if you want to see the September issue from 2009 you would modify the year and month from 201601 to 200909 like this:

http://nutsvolts.texterity.com/nutsvolts/200909

This allows you to jump around the catalog easily enough. Additionally, once you are viewing a magazine this way, there is a convenient "download" button at the top right of the page that you can use to download a PDF of the entire magazine.

I hope this answers your question. Let me know if it works for you :)
