AT power supplies are even easier to use but for the most part, most of the power is in the 5V supplies, the 12V supplies were not much more than an amp or two.

If P=IE, I suppose you could get some what higher current from a 300W ATX. (30 Amps ?)
The 5v STBY output is only good for a few amps, but is always on as long as the ATX is powered, nice feature if you want to provide for ON/OFF control with a electronic switch. (Transistor, onto isolator, etc.)
