Readout window

Post by Robert Reed »

I Have Several frequency Counters for retrofitting under construction now. But one part I am having trouble finding is the red transparent window covering the digits. I have tried several plastic retailers in my area and an hour on the web came up empty. With all the LED readouts in this world, you would think this stock would be commonly available. Anyone know where I can obtain this Stuff?

Hi Robert.

I have seen flowers wrapped in that red cellophane, but visiting stores to find such would be out of the question. Asking for a piece at a florist would be more reasonable. Gift wrapping supplies or handcraft supplies could be another place to check. Paired behind clear plastic to get the proper thickness would work. Seen clear red folders at Walmart too.

i was also gonna suggest going to a musik store or a place that sells DJ equipment etc..
they use a lot of Gel-paper (really a type of plastic ) used for stage lights..tons of colors to choose from and many shades.
good luck
