I need some help with an automatic gate opener

hello,first of all sorry for my english but i`m hungarian and i don`t speek very well english:P. I live at house and I want to do an automatic gate opener system but i don`t know where i should start.I found on market systems like that but i want to have satisfaction that I made that.If is here somebody who can give me a list with the things which I need I would be thankful In special I would be interested which kind of remote control I can use(an exact tipe ) and how I can to use it exactly,but a complet list of all parts would help me the most.THANK YOU ANTICIPATED

Is gate already motorized, and you only need remote control?

If not, how heavy and does it swing like door or roll sideways?

My gate isn`t motorized yet because I don`t know how powerful motors i need.The gate is made from two parts and swing like doors,one part has about 1.85m and 90kg(it`s not so heavy because it isn`t made of wrought iron),and i thinked to did that with articulated arms but i don`t know if it is the best solution.Thank you for the answer

Starting from nothing on swinging gate ... hmmm

Maybe motorcycle sprockets and chain, or drum and steel cable ...

Garage door opener turned sideways??? That would come with reversable AC motor and remote control.

Any of those will need custom covers to keep fingers and rain out of moving parts.
