software defined radio

Wondering if articles dealing with software defined radios are planned for future issues of N&V?
Thanks Paul

Don't know about N&V, but Elector has been running a series of articles on their SDR and can be downloaded on their site with Elector credits. Looks like a very well thought out radio covering LF,MF,HF and VHF bands.

What software defined radio? Is it a circuit simulation that works in real time?

If it is, I can't see it as replacing a low noise RF amp or antenna, but OK for signal processing.
