In Smiley's workshop # 22, in the May issue of Nuts&Volts there is mention of the Workshop22.zipfile. I can't find it under downloads.

I am still waiting for the files from the author so we can put them in the download section. Should be available any day now... We hope.

You can also check his website for any updates. Although i didnt see #21 on there either.

Yes, the lack of the downloads referenced in the magazine is disappointing.
But, I think all we need for workshop22 is the bootloader for the 644. There are bootloaders available other places. Actually the BeAVR seems very similar to the Sanguino. There are breadboard instructions for building a Sanguino at http://sanguino.cc/breadboardsanguino. The bootloader is available at http://code.google.com/p/sanguino/downloads/list. I am thinking of trying this.
Also, Chip45 has a bootloader for the 644 that looks appealing at http://www.chip45.com/info/chip45boot2.html. I am thinking of trying that too.

Now that I have read the bootloader source code from Smiley's workshop22.zipfile I can imagine it took some time to write it.
