basically there are several ways you can go.
0) don't bother. use some perf board and point to point wiring.
1) there are PCB layout stick ons you can get (IC pads and such). peel them off and stick on the copper blank. Then etch. you can also use an etch resist pen to draw traces. crude and tedious but it does work. Radio shack used to carry them, may still.
2) get a PCB design program (eagle is a good one: http://www.cadsoftusa.com/download.htm ) to do the layout. then
2a) use toner transfer to get the artwork on the copper. google for toner transfer. or
2b) use photo exposure and pre-sensitized boards. google photo exposure pcb or
2c) send design to a proto house. sparkfun has $5/square inch offer that looks good to me. It used to be half that price which was a screaming deal.
but frankly, given that you are asking this question, I recommend option 0 unless you are willing to spend a lot of time learning and some $$ getting the equipment.
[ May 07, 2005: Message edited by: philba ]

One other option is to use one of the universal prototyping boards, such as a Radio Shack 276-159. This minimizes the amount of point-to-point wiring necessary, and since only one 324 quad op amp is used, the layout of the few external components is a given.
