I have a car radio that needs a capacitor 2700uf 16v series sxe and I have not been able to find one on the internet need some help

why does it have to be a SXE series ?
you can use a higher voltage cap also.. sounds like this is a filter cap..if its on the power input line, you might be able to use a larger value for better filtering as well..

From United Chemi-Con:

The SXE series capacitors were developed to withstand HCFC cleaning
agents for five minutes by ultrasonic, vapor or immersion.

Does your repair really need to be that clean? You can probably find a suitable (albeit a little dirtier) replacement at Radio Shack.

Thanks for the info. Yes it is a filter cap I will try some outher cap and see what happens I can't see why it is so hard to find the one I want unless it is a Proprietary cap thanks agin
