composite video pattern generator

i might be wrong,
i thought NTSC is a IF signal
and that composite signal is RGB...
someone correct me..

The NTCS is a format in video broadcast set by a standards commitee. Composite refers to the total information (modulation) on that signal which includes Video, Horizontal and Vertical Sync pulses, Equalization, video, sound, etc. This information is carried on the RF (channel frequency), the IF (intermediate frequency-45 Mhz video; 4.5 MHz audio) and finally out of the demodulator.
It is our former system of B&W and color analog TV. The RGB relates to basic screen phosphors.

NTSC is demodulated video; the signal that comes out of the video detector and after the sound trap. It is "baseband video" It is RS170 or RS170A. It is composed of sync, blanking, Y signal (B&W signal) and the color subcarrier, so it is composite.

and that composite signal is RGB...

RGB is one form of "component video".
