Good lord, how old is this plotter? The info for it at (>Microsoft<) reference Win 3.0, 3.1, 3.11 and 95! Does your computer even have a serial port?
There are no specific drivers for XP, according to (>GEIWorldwide.com<). You can try a commercial driver from (>WinLine.com<). Look under Vector devices.
You could also try the Win95 driver, just try to run in some sort of compatibility mode for it.

The Plotter was a 1992 model and works great with the winline driver.I have now run an HP 7580B,a 7475A and now the Calcomp 2036 with the same Winline V8 driver (winxp PRO OS)and again I am pleased.Sure it cost us 200.00 but It works very well and the people are very supportive.Just thought I would let you all know.
