Wide angle web cam or lens

Post by MrAl »

Hello there,

I have a cam that i stick out the window now and then to see if any deliveries are coming.
The problem is, it only covers about one half of the front yard. I'd like to be able to
cover the whole front without having to rotate the camera. I know it is possible,
with a wide angle lens, but the cam i have doesnt have that and im not sure where
to get one.
Any ideas where i can get a truely wwwwiiiiiiiiidddddeeeee angle lens, or
a cam with a wide angle lens already on it?

Thanks...

Thanks for that link, Miguel! $14 ppd for a set of 6 lenses is a deal I couldn't pass up!
These guys have a great selection of cameras, lenses, etc., but not cheap:

Another possiblitiy is to just hack a "fish-eye" lens from a door peep hole on to your camera. They are very wide angle and you can probably pick one up at the local hardwares store for a couple bucks.

Did anybody else order the set of 6 lenses from these guys?

I received a small package from them containing what look like plastic cigarette filters!
All the way from Hong Kong! No lenses!
An email I sent them has gone unanswered.
