Zenith TV question model # A36B86R (G2 Chassis)

Post by dacflyer »

i have a monster CRT set i am working on, 36" tube
the set came in dead, customer said the set made noise and smoked then dead,
i found the problem, the safety caps went super nova ..lol
luckly i had a donor board to use. replaced the caps and a few other ones for vert retrace.
i need to get in the service mode to adjust the vert. size..
i have the manual, but some reason the pages to tell you how to get into the service mode are missing..
does anyone know how to get into the service mode ? no remote...

You will need a remote to access the service menu. One common zenith method is press and hold the menu button on the remote until the menu disappears from the screen, then press "9 8 7 6 enter" in rapid succession and the service menu appears. See if this works on your set.
