Hello folks,
I need to power a Telit GSM modem from a car cigarette lighter. Telit wants 3.8v (2 amp) and also states that if using a switching regulator, a 500kHz or more switching frequency regulator is preferable. They show a two step process, one taking the voltage down to 5v and then dropping it to 3.8v. I know that most of you could whip something like this up in your sleep. What I am looking for is kit/low cost prefab of a 12vDC 2amp adjustable DC to DC step down supply. I don't want to seem ungrateful in advance, but schematics are not what I am looking for. Simply a referral to where I can buy something like this. I am trying to prove a concept to a potential customer so I can get to more formal designs (i.e. integrating into the device) later.
Thanks so much!
Regards,
Karl
