Wire locator behind walls

Post by CandS001 »

I'm looking for a way to hook up camera's on the outside eavs of the house. I'd like to drill a hole in the ceiling near the inside wall run a wire through and detect on the outside soffits or eavs where the wire ends. Thus I know where to drill through and pull the wire through. I can't crawl through the attic.

Run a noisey brush type motor [Blender] off the wires your trying to find, and use a am radio to locate those runs. The scream of the brushes bouncing will radiate loud and clear to the radio.

when I ahve to run a mystery wire, I use a $.99
1/2"x10' PVC electrical conduit from the Homely
Despots. Ususlly to circumvent insulation. Works
great because it's flexible (flxible to you Grumman guys...). I recently cut out an octagon
ceiling box to find my interior ceilings insulated. So I cut the conduit to the desired length, and wormed it in. After the far end is
secured, you can affix it and remove the conduit
for re-use.
Can't we end all posts with a comical quip?
