help me identify this...

I have a surface mount black colored cap labelled '151' on a board and I need to replace it. Anyone know what the rating is from this labelling?

I think what you have is an open 150 ohm resistor. Ceramic caps are white, brown, sort of blue, but I have never seen a black one. The black coating is to protect the resistive element, caps don't need any coating.

Your right, that is a resistor. What was I thinking? Thanks for decoding the value!
