Nixie Tube Clocks anyone?

Post by JD Thomas »

I recently hacked an Analog Radio Controlled (WWVB) clock module, and adapted it to control a Nixie Tube Clock with 50mm digits.
Here is the link:

Ebay has loads of 'em. Most come from Europe and cost roughly $3 - $10 plus shipping.

Epay is a place to find new/used Nixie Tubes, but often they're bid to silliness.
Sphere Research in Canada, maintains an extraordinary supply of many different types of Display tubes; including numitrons.
Sphere Research
The big Z5680M 50mm nixie tubes used in the radio clock are only $19.00 each, via a distributor in Germany (his link is on the bottom of the radio clock web page). A bargain, considering these are new formed digit Nixie's; not the seven seg stock market tubes that are prolific these days.
--------------
