Pics on Macs

What can I use for programming some kind of PIC (or any self contained programmable computer with IO) on a Mac? (The question is not, "Should I have a Mac?". I already have it, and it does not run Windows.)

I can't recall it's name at the moment, but there is some programming s/w out there for pic-a-macs :)
