Coupling wind speed to fountain pump

Post by bdickens » Sat Dec 16, 2006 3:36 am

In the winter, my fountain tends to lose water due to an increase in wind speed. While the pump shuts off when the level drops too low, I was thinking of trying to couple the pump to a wind speed indicator. So if the wind speed exceeds 10mph, the pump shuts off.

Anyone done something similar ?

Beginner level on HW, but I'm reasonably adept at software.

Thanks

That makes sense. I've got some electronic books with comparitor circuits so I should be set. Thanks
