programming a microchip to speak text

Post by Don »

I am starting a project were I want at least 15 minutes or more time to record words. Should I use a IDS single chip voice recorder / playback device or should I use a PIC or a speechchip that synthesizes speech. I also want to program sentences at different intervals. Thank you Don.

programming speech

I can't answer your question, but I have used the 6o sec ISD
to record abnout 30 messages - mainly numbers - and have accessed them
not by direct addressing but sending pulses to locate the particular message.

I understand they have come out with longer recording times.

I am interested in programming a PIC to speak text. There are synthesizer chips that deal with quasi phonemes and I would like to pursue this

Dear Mr.Larry,

I want your confirmation about ISD1760, running normally on 8KHz can record 60sec.

Is mean, one address just record maximum capacity with 60 sec of message ? Or I can create example 10 address with 60sec each ?

Or this is mean, 60sec is maximum for all address, so i just built 10 address with 10 sec each ???

where is the true ?? Help me

Thank You.

Warms Regards,

Adi

Vidi0816,

10 addresses of 6 seconds each or 6 addresses of 10 seconds each.
