DIGITAL CLOCK

Post by JRS »

I have a master clock and 10+ multiplexed remote displays. I built it in 1983. I would like to rebuild this clock and use serial data to update the remote displays. Does anyone know which chips would be good to use?

(This topic may have been better placed in "General" than here in "Programming".)
I depends on how the remote clocks are multiplexed now.
DETAILS, a schematic diagram would be VERY helpful.
C U L -

How far away are the clocks and what are your budget constraints? It would be pretty cool to use something like the DPAC Technology embedded 802.11 modules to communicate between them, or one of the low cost serial RF links listed here at Spark Fun Electronics
