Sorry for double posting, I really meant to post this message here first:<p>
Is there anyone out there who has successfully used the 'bioscom' function in "c" to tramsmit and receive serial data via the serial port?. I've been doing a bit of research on the subject before I jump in with two feet, and the feeling I get is that it's tempermental at best, and bios dependent. I'm not trying to do anything really complex, just send a couple of bytes at a time and receive a couple of bytes at a time. Is this function worth using or would the 'outportb' function work for controlling the serial port?
