how to in XP ?

is there a way to stop the "Links" folder from reappearing, each time i delete it from my favorites ?
it instantly comes back each time.
same with "my music" and "my pictures"
i delete them, and the come back each time. i know there is a way to do it in the registry but i do not remember how to.. i did this with win98 once..
makes me nuts

To delete the My Music and My Pictures folders:

Code: Select all

"1) start>run, type in:
regsvr32 /u mydocs.dll
and then delete them."

To hide the folders:

"2) right click folder, select properties,put a tick in the hidden box, apply,ok, "

thanx, i'll look into it more. i am not wanting to hide them folders, i just want to delete them from reappearing all the time automatically, the same with the LINKS folder.
