CD Burner for DOS

Post by Ed446 »

Does anyone know of a program that will allow you to copy or burn data files to a CD using a DOS operating sysyem? I down loaded one from Sony, It will read CDs and I can copy data from CDs, but cannot write data to CDs.
Thanks in advance

I can't vouch for the safety of these programs or their usefulness but here you go DOSCDROAST & DAO.exe

Thanks for the link. I went there and down loaded 2 versions of the program. I am going to try the older one first as the only thing I want to do is copy data to a CD.
thanks again

I tried several of the programs from both web sites. They will work from the DOS mode if you have windows on the computer. They will not work if you have DOS 6.22 on the computer alone. Trying to run on a DOS computer will result in the error message: this program cannot be run in DOS mode.

Did you try CDRTools at the CDRoast site? It is the 2nd to last section in the link provided.
It says it is for DOS, but I cannot open the original author's page to verify.
