QTLP690C-Y - what data is that?

Post by Volter »

I pulled out this data from LTspice \lib\cmp\standard.dio.
Would someone know what the values below represent!

.model QTLP690C D(Is=1e-22 Rs=6 N=1.5 Cjo=50p Iave=160m Vpk=5 mfg=Fairchild type=LED)

QTLP690C-Y.pdf = data sheet
.model QTLP690C D(
Is=1e-22 = ?
Rs=6 = ?
N=1.5 = ?
Cjo=50p = ?
Iave=160m = forward I
Vpk=5 = reverse V
mfg=Fairchild
type=LED)

LTspice is a version of PSPICE, which in turn is
from the UBC SPICE engine, here are the definitions:

In that context a diode is defined by its physics
and represented by a model with the parameters
you have extracted above.

For a successful circuit analysis it is not necessary
to understand the model in great detail, or to edit
it. The model's parameters are generated by the
device manufacturer or a third party that creates
accurate models from physical device testing.

The issue here is this: To create another component in LTspice is nothing complex and one can create as many as he wants BUT the new component needs to be identified by its values that relate to the new component. If I create new component I need to make sure that it behaves to its specifications and not specs that I copied from another component.
Thanks.
