Post by ilikepie »

I am a student working on robobilliards www.soinc.org/robobill/ for science Olympiad. We have two futuba http://www.futaba-rc.com/radios/futj13.html
radios operating on 27 and 49 megahertz. we are trying to make the robot's motion be controlled by two driver wheeles and two casters enabling the robot to complete 360's. However, we are on a tight budget. Finally, the transmitter and recirver are set up in a way that the two channels are Sterring and speed.
if any one has a circuit\part\schematic\help it would be much appricieated. :(
ps: we would like to utalise stepper motors in leu of the servos but anything will help

If you have steering and speed, send speed to both motors. Add steering to one motor and minus steering to the other. Let motors be ML, MR, steering be D and speed be S. Here is a truth table:
S D -D ML MR
0 0 0 0 0 stop
0 1 -1 1 -1 360 right
1 0 1 1 1 ahead
1 1 -1 -2 2 turn right
You can turn left if steering can go negative.
