motor control

Post by paulrevelcet »

We are in the 1st phase of building a 6 axis motion simulator, we are using parts from a coaster simulator,(made by a company called ron botics, the contorl hardware is dead) just wondering if any one had any input on how to not only control the motors but match up the dc motor control with a dvd player? there are two motors one on each side and they use optical sensors to know where they are, one set is in the front and counts holes, the other 2 sense a arm that has a white line on it.
just wondering if there is any software out there that lets you sync up motion with video, I assume the big theme parks have there own software created for just them, but we have a limited budget and a shortage of engineers (0)
