Hi,
I have found a number of good faq types sites that discuss electronics and I/O control, but not specific to robotics applications. What is your best online source of info? I don't want to clog this board with questions easily answered by faq.

http://www.ranchbots.com/club/club.htm is a local club that has a dedicated chairman, prety good website and an active core of members. The chair been involved in local high school projects and has a robot board based on the Atmel ATMega8535 that you might be interested in.

The Encoder at http://www.seattlerobotics.org/encoder/ in Seattle has a few articles. They appear to prefer the Motorola 68hc11 series.
