RF Communications

Post by Matt »

I have just built a simple bot and need RF control (like for a race car). All I need to control is the motion of the motor. Where would I be able to find a schmatic on this? I just took apart 2 old childrens walki-talkis and retrieved 2 45 mhz. crystals from them. Would I be able to use these at all? I am a complete beginner on RF control.
====Matt====

Matt,
I would suggest you get a radio control car and use that for your robot. You get both the radio and the reciever there. The radios you have torn apart will not help you.
The basic system is: pot to radio to receiver to servo to motor. Radio contains the pot.
Use the car receiver and servo (if there is one) in your robot.
