New Capacitors Failing while still in the parts drawer........
This is strange issue. I'm working on a old RCA 14" flat screen CRT set. In the vertical section, I find a few Capacitors that have failed. So, I go to my Parts Drawers to get new ones to replace them. Here I find several electrolytic radial caps that are leaking a yellow oil out the bottom whe...

Yes, this is an advertisement. If they want to advertise on the website they should contact T&L Publications. Oh, right..... That's going cost them money. Better too just SPAM the website, then pay to advertise on it. If these companies want people to see they're products, or services they are ...

Okay, this is just so wrong. RadioShack decides to go Crypto. https://news.yahoo.com/remember-radioshack-now-crypto-company-204705547.html I know they want to be known as a technology company. But it has been proven time and again that Cryptocurrencies are not for use in normal money exchang...

Re: Ubquity Nanostation M2 Troubles
Hmmm............... Yeah, it sounds like a lightning strike did a number on it. {For Testing Purposes.} I'd try shutting it down, and resetting it back to its default settings. Then redo the setup. If you have a portable frequency counter, you could use that to check to see if it is transmitting. If...

I think you should send Shopjimmy this question, since they have been doing a lot of Flat Screen Monitor/TV's for awhile now.

or submit your question on IFIXIT.

Re: Fully Functional TV is Headed for Junk Pile
Only thing I found, in the Operators Manual was on page 21. To return to initial settings: On the remote: SETTINGS > OPTION > initial settings Returns to initial default mode by deleting all optional setup. Once initialization is completed, the TV will turn off and on by itself. When Lock System is ...

Re: Fully Functional TV is Headed for Junk Pile
Oh Boy....... How long ago did you get this Monitor/TV, and was it perhaps on sale? When Manufacturer's were starting to roll out more 4K Monitor/TV's. They had to get rid of the older stock of HD Monitor/TV's. Thus, there were a bunch of these "Stripped Down" HD Monitor/TV's that were so...

Or Some sort of access port. Now LG and a lot of other companies don't like tell the end users about Fir...

Re: Looking for an adhesive to use on Neo-Magnets on Hub Motor
Sorry,
For some reason I was thinking of a 12Vdc or 24Vdc Muffin type Fan.
Yeah, the Locktite two part epoxy, should work.
I wonder if that's similar to the old Alum-Epoxy?
Haven't seen the stuff in many years now.
